Individual versus collective intelligence

From civicintelligence
Because society is made of individuals, it is our belief that the intelligence of a society parallels that of the individual. In other words, the group brain functions the same as an individual's. People can be seen as synapses in the larger cerebrum. Therefore, the influences and outcomes from these constituents are analogous to both forms of intelligence.
