Interested in interning or volunteering at Safeplace? Apply by Feb 15 to take the upcoming 48-hour Safeplace training. This thorough training is required in order to volunteer for helpLine shifts, court volunteering, SARP (Sexual Assault Response & Prevention, walk-in advocacy or childcare at the shelter. Just wanted to send out a little more info about SafePlace’s upcoming training. The training will run from Feb. 27 – March 15, Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-12:30pm. Volunteers are expected to serve for one year. Ideally we are looking for students with education and background in anti-oppression, psychology, trauma, and gender and diversity studies. Students of color, survivors, people of all genders, and LGBTQQIA folks are encouraged to apply.
