Vegetarians of Washington is a Seattle based organization which works with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian members of the community to spread knowledge of the dynamics of eating meat in today's world. They network with other organizations, publish and sell informational literature, and host many events to increase awareness. Between their efforts and watching the spread of information which their direct audience passes on to others, I think they're an excellent example of civic intelligence in terms of creating and making available a base of knowledge for the community.
