The objective of the game is to get participants thinking about community dynamics.  Interactions in the game show how community can be built and sustained and how our decisions, both individual and collective, affect everyone else.  In sharing a Vision, players are prompted to use teamwork and creativity to reach their goals.  By dropping subtle hints throughout the game via terminology and subject matter, issues pertinent to Civic Intelligence and to the pattern cards are brought to the forefront.  With any luck, players will be thinking about roles and responsibilities in their real-life community during the course of the game and carry these thoughts with them afterwards.
