Wolf conservation: Civic Intelligence example for Humankind
From civicintelligence
The struggle for conservation of the Grey Wolf in the wild started in 1973 with the introduction of the Endangered Species Act. Great strides had been made to reintroduce the wolf into it's natural habitat. By doing this we helped not only rescue a species from extinction, we started the recovery of fragile and dying ecosystems. Yellowstone is a great example. Recent de-listing by congress has threatened to undo all of that work. My project will look at the ongoing efforts to save the Grey Wolf and the civic intelligence that is being used towards that end. In addition, I will explore how the Grey Wolf uses a form of civic intelligence to survive and how it can be a great example for us.
