The Olympia Housing Collective was founded in the summer of 1999 by a group of students from the Evergreen State College. We currently occupy five houses with a membership of 30. We operate on a consensus decision-making system and emphasize a diet of locally produced organic food. We eat and live together. We aim to provide affordable housing in a self-managing, nonhierearchical environment and are open to students as well as all people. We are working toward ownership of our own houses. The Olympia Housing Collective supports helping out other cool organizations and individuals.
