Average Measurement: 0.9 x 0.1 x 0.1

Measurement Range: L: 0.75 – 1.1, W: 0.1 - 0.2, D: no variation in sample set (all seeds measured 0.1 mm


Shape: Seed narrow at hilium end, broadening where pappus attaches.

Color: Hilium is white, slightly glossy and puckered. Seed is tan, with some darker brown along edges or as spotting on seed face.

Other Structures: Pappus of white bristly hairs are two to five times longer than seed body, and attach in a circle at apex opposite hilium.

Surface: Seed also covered in some sporadic short bristles.
